Che Guevara, der argentinische Arzt, der eigentlich\u00a0Ernesto Rafael Guevara de la Serna<\/a> hie\u00df, hat die Geschichte, soziale Entwicklung und Kultur von ganz\u00a0Kuba und nicht zuletzt auch ein wenig die Weltgeschichte selbst gepr\u00e4gt.<\/p>\n

Er ist das Motiv f\u00fcr das heute immer noch weltber\u00fchmteste Foto-Portrait<\/a>\u00a0ever, welches\u00a0der Fotograf Alberto Corda<\/a>\u00a0am 4. M\u00e4rz 1960 von ihm fertigte. \u00dcber Che’s Story gibt es jede Menge B\u00fccher, alte Fotos und Erz\u00e4hlungen. Heute noch ist Che Guevara’s Geist \u00a0in Kuba allgegenw\u00e4rtig und ich beziehe mich dabei nicht auf die Che-Guevara-Souvenirs\u00a0die in fast jedem Laden auf Kuba k\u00e4uflich zu erwerben sind.<\/p>\n

Also haben wir uns auf die Spuren von Che gemacht …<\/p>\n

Am Weg nach Santa Clara<\/h2>\n

Der Weg nach Santa Clara, f\u00fchrt uns \u00fcber jene\u00a0Berge\u00a0aus denen die Kubanischen Rebellen<\/a> heraus operierten. Heute sieht es dort so aus wie damals. Mancherorts gibt es Strom. Oder auch nicht. Mit Pferden kommt man hier besser voran als mit Autos. Handy, Internet? Fehlanzeige. Die einzigen Maste die man hier sieht sind Antennenmaste mit denen die Bergbewohner einen der staatlichen Sender zu empfangen versuchen.<\/p>\n

Santa Clara<\/h2>\n

Ende 1958 \u00fcberfiel der damals 23-j\u00e4hrige „El Vaquerito“ gemeinsam mit\u00a0Che\u00b4s Selbstmord-Truppe einen wichtigen\u00a0Versorgungszug des Regimes. Mitten in der kleinen Stadt Santa Clara, errangen die Kubanischen Rebellen, unter dem Kommando\u00a0Che’s, letztendlich\u00a0den Sieg \u00fcber das Regime<\/a>. Sie entfernten die Gleise mit einem Caterpillar, der Zug entgleiste und eine bedeutende Beute aus\u00a0Waffen, Versorgung und Soldaten fiel den Rebellen in die H\u00e4nde.<\/p>\n

Batista fl\u00fcchtete, Fidel Castro \u00fcbernahm die Macht und der Rest ist Geschichte. Der Caterpillar, mit dem die Rebellen den Zug entgleisen lie\u00dfen ist heute noch vor Ort ausgestellt. Ebenso wie Artillerie, Uniformen, Gebrauchsgegenst\u00e4nde, Gleisreste, ein paar Waggons – das alles kann f\u00fcr 2 CUC (~ 2 EUR) ausgiebig besichtigt, gefilmt und fotografiert werden.<\/p>\n

Abgesehen von der historischen St\u00e4tte ist Santa Clara eine typisch kubanische Kleinstadt. Freundliche, nette Menschen, alte Autos, Palmen, Chillout, …<\/p>\n

Che Guevara’s Grab im Museum –\u00a0Monumento Memorial Che Guevara<\/h2>\n

Unweit von Santa Clara steht das\u00a0Monumento Memorial Che Guevara. Das sind gro\u00dfe Steintafeln mit Inschriften, eine Statue von Che, dahinter ein Museum mit angeschlossenem Mausoleum und darin Che mit seinem engsten Gefolge am letzten Ruheplatz. Fotografieren, Filmen und sowieso alles Gep\u00e4ck sind hier verboten.<\/p>\n

N\u00e4hert sich ein unwissender Besucher mit Rucksack, str\u00f6men sofort trillerpfeifende Soldaten herbei: „Entweder das Gep\u00e4ck abgeben oder umdrehen und zur\u00fcck gehen“. Alles klar, unser Fahrer nimmt den Rucksack und beruhigt die Armee.<\/p>\n

Im Inneren wird \u00e4hnlich genau auf korrektes Verhalten geachtet. Ber\u00fchrt man eine Glasscheibe im Museum wird man sofort freundlich auf das Fehlverhalten hingewiesen „… or you must leave, please“. Energiegeladen und beklemmend gleichzeitig ist es hier im Che-Museum und im Mausoleum ist es nicht anders. Wir haben Che Guevara’s Geist gefunden.<\/p>\n
